Chalkwell is a suburb of Leigh-On-Sea, stretching from Chalkwell Esplanade to London Road, being located in between Westcliff-On-Sea and Leigh-On-Sea. The area is home to some of regions grandest properties.

Chalkwell is home to Chalkwell Hall Junior School however there are no secondary schools in the immediate area. The nearest secondary schools are Westcliff High School for Girls, Southend High School for  Boys and Chase High School. Local Features

Chalkwell is home to a beach, aptly named Chalkwell Beach. This is an ideal area to relax if you are looking to avoid the more built up and tourist attracting areas of the seafront, closer to Adventure Island. Chalkwell Park is also a peaceful retreat with its open green spaces. The park is home to a one day music festival, ‘Village Green’ which last year attracted over 25,000 throughout the course of the day. The festival is an excellent opportunity for local bands, with last year being headlined by ‘Nothing But Thieves’, who have since gone on to find nationwide fame.
